    Creating Your Perfect Match!

    June 6, 2016

Since being interested in makeup around the age of 16 i have always found it difficult to find a foundation that matches my skin tone, being very pale certainly doesn't make it easy however i see many high street brands such a Rimmel, L'Oreal and Max factor who don't seem to sell many light shades of foundation. Obviously i can't speak for darker skin tones. I have always found the cheaper foundations to be very orange on me and i'm sure i'm not the only one.

So a few years ago i stared buying high end foundations in the hope they had a shade that was light enough and actually suited me. I started using the Chanel Pro Lumiere foundation for a few months that i absolutely loved it was £33 which for an 18 year old was a lot to pay for a foundation however i loved the colour match and i was prepared to pay that amount for it, then whilst going back to repurchase it they told me they had discontinued it.... Why!! why do brands do that with the products we love!!

I then went back to using L'Oreal true match which was the closest match i could find in an affordable price range. Since then i have tried many other high end brands such as Charlotte Tilbury, Nars and Bobbi Brown and i have found some great shades for lighter skin tones, however i know that not everyone can afford to buy foundations that are £30+ every month or so......

And then i came across this product by NYX which is now finally available in the UK online at boots and also in selective stores its also available at Selfridges, ASOS and feel unique (pst the Birmingham boots has a huge counter)

This is the NYX Pro Foundation Mixer in the shade White, There are 5 other shades this product comes in, There's deep which makes foundation darker, Warmth to make a foundation warmer, Olive which has a deep beige undertone, Opal which is sheer white with shimmer and also Luminous which is a champagne shade with gold shimmer.

I cannot tell you how great this is!! and for anyone wondering no it doesn't change the texture of your foundation at all i have tried it with liquid foundations and they are exactly the same texture before and after! They retail for £7.50 and they are soooo worth it! Can you tell i love it already i have put below a photo of a before and after on four foundations i have tried and tested!

Rimmel Match Perfection - 100 Ivory (i stopped using this foundation because the shade was too dark for me!)

MAC Studio Sculpt - NC15 (i also stopped using this because i didn't like the shade)

Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation - Fair 2 this is the nicest foundation i have ever used! i rave about it all the time on my YouTube channel

Nars Sheer Glow - Siberia i like the shade of this however i'm not sure on the finish!

Of Course you can add as much or as little as you like to create your perfect match!!
